CCYHA Special Hockey has been an incredible program for our family and our son. He gets to be part of a great team with lots of friends. The team also gets a chance to do some really neat stuff, liking meeting NHL Blue Jacket players and playing on the Nationwide ice. CCYHA Special Hockey Columbus Blue Jackets. As we retrieved our bags from the vans, I could sense a slight sadness in the group that could be seen through the cracks of triumph and relief. I, for one, certainly felt it. Welcome to Grandravine Special Hockey! Grandravine Special Hockey is a hockey program for the developmentally challenged for all ages, male or female, regardless of skill level. It is the oldest special hockey program in North America, founded in 1980. The progam runs 26 weeks. The Skills Development Program is for all beginners and teaches basic skating and hockey skills. Games with nearby regional teams. Other group and social events.
